The Coathanger: six stars in a ruler-straight bar and four in a hook — an upside-down coat hanger so perfect it looks manufactured. A small telescope shows the two bright lobes of the apple core; an O III filter fills in the fainter waist and turns it into a glowing rugby ball. The eastern arc of the Veil: the wreck of a star that exploded when humans were painting caves, now a lacework of shocked filaments across three moon-widths. A modest globular halfway between Albireo and Gamma Lyrae, sitting in a rich Milky Way field that flatters it. Small telescopes show a soft glow; 200 mm resolve a sprinkling of outliers.
